Working across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Kitchen and Food & Beverage our Hospitality Assistants will provide a first class service to help us to deliver amazing experiences for our residents and go the extra mile.
From our exceptional dining experiences to our luxurious environment, our Hospitality Assistants are responsible for the upkeep of the non-clinical areas of our home.
Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
In Housekeeping, you’ll apply your high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness to our resident’s homes and communal living spaces, to ensure they’re spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. You’ll also be working in laundry ensuring residents’ clothing and the home’s laundry are kept clean.
You’ll also support the Head Chef and their team in the kitchens to manage and deliver all catering services throughout the home. You’ll prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard for our residents and maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
Working in Food & Beverage you’ll welcome residents in, explain menu choices in a clear, concise way, serve food from the kitchen and take pride in keeping the dining room spotlessly clean. You’ll reset tables, tidy work areas and prepare the food service areas for the next service.

As well effective communication skills, working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation would be preferred as well as cleaning experience in a similar environment.

River View Care Centre provides 24-hour nursing care, in addition to supporting those living with dementia and other long-term conditions. Conveniently located to nearby Tilehurst village, the home benefits from excellent local transport links and is easily accessible by train, bus and car. River View is divided into smaller accommodation units, offering an intimate friendly atmosphere where residents and carers get to know each other well and staff can tailor care to the individual and differing needs of residents. All 137 rooms are en-suite and are decorated with modern fixtures and fittings. The activity team provide a daily programme of activities and events that appeal to the hobbies and interests of residents including baking and arts and carts. The home hosts regular events inviting local community groups to the home and welcome entertainers for the enjoyment on all residents home on a regular basis. External trips out are also organised for residents, their families and friends.

Hospitality Manager based at Fitzwarren House, Swindon
Available Hours:
Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week.

MHA is seeking an experienced and outstanding Hospitality Manager to develop, implement and manage the strategy for the catering and housekeeping services within Fitzwarren House, you will be responsible for:
* managing the quality standards of the food production,
* housekeeping service to ensure provision of first-class services to residents.
* management and supervision of catering and housekeeping services
* maximise the potential of your staff through leadership, coaching, example, support and guidance.
* You will prepare, cook, and serve meals on a rotational basis for residents, visitors, and staff daily sometimes this may also include catering for ad-hoc events within the home.
* You will comply with policy and procedures stated within the Food Safety Manual.
* Work with the home manager and residents, plan menus to provide nutritionally balanced and attractively presented meals, providing when necessary for any special diets, residents with dementia and ethnic minority groups.
