Are you passionate about education and enjoy creating a conducive learning environment? We are looking for a dedicated Resource Coordinator and Program Support Specialist to join our team and ensure our Science Room, Mathematics Room, and Tinkering Corner are always ready for action!
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Management:
- Prepare and Maintain Resources: Keep the Science Room, Mathematics Room, and Tinkering Corner stocked and organized with necessary materials (excluding IT equipment). This includes books, expendables, science lab specimens, and math manipulatives.
- Ensure Availability: Make sure all teaching and learning resources are properly maintained and available for use.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Oversee the general décor, safety, and cleanliness of these rooms, ensuring they meet safety regulations and standards.
- Resource Guidance: Help teachers and students locate and utilize available resources effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of loans, returns, damages, and servicing needs for equipment and materials.
Program Support:
- Lesson and Event Assistance: Assist in preparing for and conducting lessons, practical tests (like Science Practical Tests), and school events such as Learning Quest, supplementary lessons, and enrichment workshops.
- Gardening Programs: Support the school’s hydroponics and gardening initiatives, including plant maintenance, purchasing gardening materials, and assisting during student gardening sessions.
Safety Oversight:
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all room equipment complies with safety regulations, such as proper labeling of chemicals and storage of flammable materials in the Science Room.
- Emergency Procedures: Be well-versed in the Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies and participate in safety audits.
Inventory Management:
- Stock Takes: Conduct bi-annual stocktakes of all resources in the Science Room, Mathematics Room, and Tinkering Corner.
- Inventory Records: Maintain up-to-date records of all stocks, identify redundant equipment, and ensure proper documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum GCE ‘N’ Levels
- Proficiency in office skills, including word processing and Microsoft Excel
- Preferred: At least 2 years of relevant experience
