Act as a representative in attending to residents’ requests as well as the public’s complaints
Carrying out the activities of the Front Office department which includes Reception, Reservations, Bell Service, and Transportation, in ensuring the smooth running of the front office
To foster and maintain a close and productive working relationship with all relevant departments to ensure all residents are well taken care of
To be able to up-sell room accommodation during high occupancy to maximize revenue
To provide courteous and efficient service to all internal/external guests
Ensure all complaints and requests are immediately resolved and followed through with relevant supporting departments
To greet all residents/guests in a service-oriented manner
To be familiar with the PMS and coordinate with IT Manager with periodical system maintenance
To be responsible for assigning and blocking rooms for arriving guests
Ensuring all allocated rooms are assigned according to requirements and ensuring no double allocation
To check in guests in a prompt, efficient and smooth manner, ensuring they’re registered in accordance with Front Office policies and procedures
To update guest particulars in the system accurately and clearly state the payment method
To record in the logbook any unusual happenings and incidences and all-important matters still pending for follow-through actions
To be responsible for the preparation of all the necessary material for the check-in of any guest
To check all cashier transactions and balance all transactions before leaving. Any discrepancies must be reported to the Rooms Division Manager for correction
To update and maintain efficiently the current room status and to inform the Superiors, should their attention be needed
To carry out effective key control procedures
To be responsible for the sufficient stock of all supplies, such as printing materials, forms, and stationery. To initiate replenishment as and when deemed necessary
Constantly check on all forms of correspondence, such as messages/mail/parcels are promptly delivered
Coordinate with the housekeeping department to solve room discrepancies
To handle minor guest complaints and report to Superiors the nature of complaints and action taken
To enforce and comply with Rules and Regulations stipulated in the Employee Handbook
To attend to walk-in potential clients and conduct tours of the property

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or higher degree in OSH, Health, Safety, Engineering, Science or Diploma in OSH is a pre-requisite.
Have a good working knowledge of Risk Management elements (i.e. Environment, Health, Safety, Risk / Crisis Management and 5S). Certification (s) desirable.
Registered and certified SHO with DOSH (Green book holder).
Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing industry: Experience in glove industry a plus.
Possess basic computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point).
Possess good communication skills and able to work in a team environment.
Able to plan S&H activity and perform execution.
Able to engage with local authority, customer's auditor in any related audits/inspection.

Job Responsibilities:

To liaise with government agencies and representatives regarding inspections, investigation of incidents, industrial accident, notices of violation and provide technical support on legal issues pertaining to Health, Safety Risk Management and 5S.
To follow-up to assist in timely submission of all Health, Safety, Risk Management & 5S related corporate reports.
To support implementation of policies, systems and procedures necessary to maintain legislative compliance, adhere to corporate standards, achieve periodic goals, and continuously move toward best practices.
To provide advice to management on Health, Safety, Risk Management and 5S of matters in the incumbent’s area of responsibility that could impact the business.
To develop a proposed Health, Safety, Risk Management & 5S budget for the organization.
To conduct, assist or coordinate trainings programs to enhance Health, Safety, Risk Management & 5S awareness.
To conduct or assist in conducting Health, Safety, Risk Management, Social Compliance, Insurance and 5S audits within the facility to assess compliance with applicable regulations, corporate standards, policies and procedures.
To provide or contribute recommendations needed to abate deficiencies or enhance the working environment. To oversee periodic updates to management on the implementation status of recommendations.
To provide direction and technical support to the organization to facilitate achievement of company-wide goals and strategies for Health, Safety, Risk Management & 5S.
To contribute and improve the overall Health, Safety, Risk Management & 5S culture within the organization by driving corporate initiatives, project and processes.
To conduct investigation on near-miss, dangerous occurrence, accident or fire occurrence. To provide the investigation report together with its CAPA to management.
To act as a secretary in the S&H Committee. To conduct the S&H meeting at least 1 (once) in every 3 month.
To submit the yearly Notification of Accident, Dangerous Occurrences, Occupational Poisoning or Occupational Diseases (NANOOPOD) to JKKP Putrajaya every January 31.
